Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge: Don"t Miss Fun For All Ages

Dixie Stampede in Pigeon ForgeTwenty-five years ago, Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge opened. Since then, the Dixie Stampede has expanded to Branson, Mo. However, many people will agree that there is nothing quite like the original attraction in Pigeon Forge.

Situated just outside of the entrance to Dollywood, the Dixie Stampede dinner attraction in Pigeon Forge offers visitors the chance to enjoy a great live show experience while also enjoying a delicious southern meal.

The Food

The four course meal provided to all ticket holders consists of a true southern feast: a whole chicken cooked rotisserie style, smoked barbeque pork, vegetable soup, biscuits, corn on the cob, and a baked potato. The spread also includes dessert and your choice of soft drink or tea, southern style sweetened of course. For those with special dietary needs, however, the staff at Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge is happy to accommodate vegetarians and children.

The Show

And if you think that the food sounds good, just wait until you hear about the show itself at Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge. The pre-show begins in a the Dixie Bell Saloon with the bluegrass and country songs of the house band Mountain Ruckus. Following their opening set, you are seated in the main area for what amounts to a wild-west style song and dance act. It doesn’t stop there; on top of the brilliant light show, use of pyrotechnics and music, the Dixie Stampede attraction in Pigeon Forge also features do ens of different types of horses during the can’t-miss show.

Although Dolly Parton herself does not appear in every show, the Dixie Stampede offers an enjoyable, fun experience for the entire family. The Dixie Stampede attraction in Pigeon Forge is also in close proximity to Dollywood, Splash Country, Sevierville, and Gatlinburg. It is also just a short, five minute drive from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Once you experience Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede, you’ll understand why it’s known as “the most fun place to eat.”
